Söhne & Partner Architekten designed the ‘Am Schöpfwerk’ in Vienna, Austria.
Description from the architects:
Since the content of the library Am Schöpfwerk in Vienna is intended for children as well as for adults the furniture from the 1980s was replaced by a modern interior and a new colour scheme. Visitors of the library are now able to use two PC desks, a separate space for audiovisual media as well as a comfortable reading area. Due to the rearranging of the stairs there is more amount of space for events like readings or presentations. Furthermore as a result of the rebuilding the access and the use of the library are barrier-free now.
