This contemporary beach home in Malibu, California was remodeled from the original house, which was cut up, dark, and heavy with post-modern finishes and poorly constructed details. Jamie Bush & Co. was responsible for the entire interior architecture renovation, palette and furnishings, as well as the landscaping and some exterior architectural detailing. The main objective was to create a serene and pure white modern, sleek beach house as a background to the beauty of the ocean.
The owners of the home reside in San Antonio, Texas and this is a vacation retreat for them. They are passionate about bright colorful, abstract artwork and art glass, which was infused throughout the house without overpowering the main focus of the ocean.
