
Flavio Castro Architects designed the ‘Maranhão Apartment’ in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Description from the architects:
In this project, the biggest challenge was the conversion of a familiar apartment into a single apartment, readjusting the preexistence furniture brought from other apartment.
After enumerate the proprietary buffet, sideboards, sofas, some armchairs, picture frames and decoration elements, the architectonic work has begun. The dialog between the old, the new and readjusted guided all the project decisions and it also has required a precise work which pervaded between the steeped memories respect and the new elements introduction that symbolize the new proprietary’s life stage.
The colors sober tones contrast to some decoration pieces and it gives the space identity.
