The design for this boutique hotel locates all rooms fronting a spectacular view of Manhattan. The razor-thin profile of this 11 story, 75,000 square foot tower is clad in graphite masonry, charcoal stucco and black metal screens that play on the character of this emerging industrial neighborhood. The exterior palette carries consistently into the 100 guest rooms, complimented by custom furniture and swaths of textured bronze fabrics lit from concealed coves. Every aspect is precisely designed — from the massing of the tower, to the stitching of chairs, from the gritty façade to the warmth of its aerie interiors – to create a singular and cohesive statement, and an intriguing lodging alternative.
