PLURIESCALA designed the Thematic Water Feature Park in Mexico.
Description from the architects:
This is an extremely peculiar park, which includes 17 unique ornamental and landscape fountains, all different in terms of water effects and sensitive objectives.
All these Fountains will be connected by pedestrian links which have the objective to create a life journey. Because it is also a meditation park (with a quite introspective point of view) each fountain will represent an evolution stage of life, for example, one of the first fountains, called “nine months fountain” represents the beginning of life, inside the womb. All water effects, the sound and interactivity, suggests beauty and hope, related to human being gestation process sensations.
During the journey, the visitor will interact with a set of fountains representing various stages of life, like youth, adulthood, maturity, reflection age, including “forgiveness moment” (yes there is also a Forgiveness Fountain) until the “final goodbye” last stage.
In the center of the park should be placed one mega multimedia fountain, implanted in a circular giant pool with 300m of diameter and surrounded also by a circular shape amphitheatre. This Fountain will be the climax of the journey and should constitute the new city attraction.
Some numbers:
Park Total diameter: 930m
Landscape Fountains dimension (Fountain 1 to 15): 50mx50m implementation area
Landscape Fountains dimension (Fountain 16 to 1): 65mx50m implementation area
